Frequently Asked Questions
-
There are two homes on site and as it is a working farm there is always a presence. Our yards have locked, heavy duty gates with a Fob entry system that records movement. We also have extensive CCTV coverage.
We ask for single entry and exit on all gates i.e. no tailgating. This helps us to keep track of who is coming and going as well as keeping the sites secure.
We require photographic identification and proof of address from all customers.
-
If we have a space available we will arrange an appointment for you to come and see the yard and the available pitch. If you are happy to go ahead with the storage we will then go over the paperwork with you. This involves T&Cs, security and taking a photocopy of two proofs of ID (one photographic (such as a drivers license/passport), one with your address (such as a bill head)). We accept cash, cheque or bank transfer for payment at this time. You will then be issued your key and fob which you should check are working before leaving.
-
Unfortunately not. We work on a first come first serve basis if we have pitches available. If we are using a waiting list when you are offered a pitch if you’re not ready to take it we need to move onto the next customer on the list.
-
Although we are a working farm and there is generally always someone about, we ask that all customers get in touch to arrange a visit. This helps to ensure we can give you our full attention.
-
Once you have your key and fob you are welcome to come and go as much as you like during daylight hours and do not need to notify us. If for any reason you need access at night or in the early morning we just ask that you let us know before.

Although we appreciate good manners in this instance we ask that all gates have strictly no tailgating and all customers scan their own fobs. This helps us to keep track of who is coming and going as well as keeping the sites secure.

David from North East Caravan Services has his own key and fob and regularly accesses the sites for servicing and repairs. See North East Caravan Services website here: https://ne-cs.com/services
Alternatively, Dee Valley Caravans is just 5 minutes along the road in Drumoak and also carries out services and repairs. See Dee Valley Caravans website here: http://www.deevalleycaravans.co.uk
If you prefer to use a different company, you must accompany them at all times in the yard and ensure they are respectful to other caravans/vehicles.

If you no longer require your pitch we just ask that you let us know and drop off your key and fob before your fees are next due. When dropping off your key and fob please put them in an envelope with your name, pitch number and bank details on it and pop them through the letterbox. On receiving them we will refund your key and fob deposit.
-
Yes, no problem. It is important that your key and fob is returned to us along with the details of the new owner. We will then get in touch with the new owner to go over the paperwork and get their IDs before handing over the key and fob.
